125mm Antique Engineered European Oak Wood Flooring – product code EO3029 - has a total thickness of 14mm with a 3mm hardtop wear layer and comes in random lengths between 300-1200mm. This product is lightly brushed and finished with a UV oil that gives the plank more texture and character while remaining extremely hard wearing.

Each plank has a 4V Groove, bevelled edge giving each plank more individual definition. This floor can be sanded down up to 4 times however it shouldn't be necessary to do so for the first 15-20 years. The grade of this product is rustic meaning the planks have more knots and imperfections giving the product much more character and warmth.

Engineered flooring doesn't just look amazing, it is also extremely practical too. Thanks to the way it is constructed, engineered flooring is water resistant, making it great to use in kitchens and rooms with higher traffic, where spillages and or exposure to water is fairly common. Engineered flooring is also able to withstand fluctuations in temperatures which means its compatible with underfloor heating, something that is increasingly popular in modern homes. This ability to endure temperature changes also means that this product can be laid in rooms such as conservatories or basements, where other flooring could damage itself.

The EO3029 can be installed using one of three techniques. Option one, ‘floating floor’, is achieved by gluing the tongue and groove parts of the board and allow the floor as a whole to float, usually cushioned with use of an underlay. Option two would be to secret nail the tongue part of the plank into a wooden subfloor. Finally, option three would be to stick the timber directly onto the subfloor with use of flooring adhesive.
