A stunning natural oak brushed and oiled engineered wood flooring – Product code EO1011 – has a width of 125mm and a length of 300-1200mm . The planks have an overall thickness of 18mm comprising of and a 4mm top wear layer of an oak veneer.

Hand scraped products have a beautifully natural look about them for an authentic wood appearance and texture. Multi-ply backed products such as this are also hugely resilient to temperature and humidity change which means that they can be laid in most rooms in the home, including conservatories, with the only exception being the bathroom.

Due to the stability of our engineered flooring products laying the flooring in rooms with underfloor heating is not a problem and they are compatible with most systems in the modern home. Should you wish to revive your flooring, the 4mm wear layer, mentioned previously, enables you to sand down and refinish the surface up to 3 times. However this shouldn’t be necessary for the first 10-15 years in most domestic environments. The grade of this European oak is ABC, which basically translates to 'rustic'. Thus meaning that it will contain some knots as is typical with most oak products.

Each individual piece of timber has had a micro bevel carved into all four of the edges, meaning when two boards are fitted together there is a V shaped groove visible defining each individual plank, as can be seen in the images above. This floor can be installed by floating, nailing or glueing down which makes installation fairly quick and easy. If you’re unsure or never fitted a wood floor before we would always recommend consulting a professional fitter to do the job for you. For further information about the installation processes please see the installation tab above.
