Our 125mm Lacquered Click Engineered European Oak Wood Flooring 14/3mm Thick – product code EC2088 - has a total thickness of 14mm which consists of a 3mm wear layer of solid oak on top. The 3mm wear layer enables you to sand and refinish the surface up to 3 times in total, however this shouldn’t be necessary for the first 15-20 years.

Engineered or multi-ply backed products are incredibly resilient to temperature changes that make them suitable for the vast majority of rooms within your home – even the conservatory! Due to their stability, all of our engineered wood products are compatible with both water and electrical based under floor heating (UFH) systems.

EC2088 has been carefully finished with seven coats of pearl satin lacquer; not only does this protect the timber from any spillages but it also creates a glossy, modern finish that would bring any room or space up to date. However as this is a natural product we would always advise you to mop up any spillages or splashes as quickly as possible.

125mm Lacquered Click Engineered European Oak Wood Flooring 14/3 Thick has a plank width of 125mm (12.5cm) and is a random length (RL) product with planks between 300-1200mm. A 125mm plank width is deemed a fairly narrow plank and works better in smaller spaces such as bedrooms or hallways. Random length or RL products allow you or whoever is fitting your floor to stagger individual planks – creating a free-flowing, natural look.

You may have noticed that this product uses the ‘click’ method of installation. Click or ‘glueless’ solid oak flooring has a handful of clear benefits when compared with a product that uses the tongue and groove installation method. First and foremost, each plank simply clicks together like a jigsaw without the need for joint glue. This not only speeds up the process of laying the actual floor but is also an entirely mess free way of installing. In addition to this, as the planks are not fixed down to the subfloor, individual planks can be uplifted and replaced relatively easily.

The grade of our EC2088 is ABC grade - other suppliers may refer to this grade of timber as rustic. This simply means there will be knots and natural imperfections within the batch. This ultimately gives the product that natural, flowing feel and look – something, which is only achievable with a natural product.
