150mm Brushed and Oiled Engineered European Oak Wood Flooring – product code EO2060 - has a total thickness of 14mm with a 3mm solid hardtop wear layer. This product comes in random lengths of 300-1200mm. This product is lightly brushed and finished with a UV oil which gives the plank more texture and character.

Each plank has a 4V Groove, bevelled edge giving each plank more definition individually. This floor can be sanded down up to 4 times however it shouldn't be necessary to do so for the first 15-20 years. The grade of this product is rustic meaning the planks have more knots and imperfections giving the product much more character and warmth. The rustic grade is the most popular grade in the wood flooring industry thanks to its ability to replicate a totally natural look.

Because of the way in which it is made, engineered wood flooring is very durable, making it ideal for use in kitchens or utility rooms where dirt is common. Because of this, cleaning your engineered wood floor is also significantly easier. It is also able to withstand changes in temperatures so is suitable for use with underfloor heating systems, which is ideal if your house comes with preinstalled underfloor heating that you are trying to work with. It is also a great conductor of heat and will therefore keep your rooms warmer for longer, so could help to reduce your energy bills.

The EO2060 can be installed using either a floating, nailing or glueing method. Option one, ‘floating floor’, is achieved by gluing the tongue and groove parts of the board and allow the floor as a whole to float, usually cushioned with use of an underlay. Option two would be to secret nail the tongue part of the plank into a wooden subfloor. Finally, option three would be to stick the timber directly onto the subfloor with use of flooring adhesive.
