190mm American Black Engineered Oiled Walnut Wood Flooring – product code EW2090 - is 20mm thick with a 6mm solid hardtop wear layer and comes in fixed lengths of 1860mm. Walnut wood flooring is one of the most luxurious products on the market, it doesn't have the most modest price tag but once laid the true beauty and quality is evidential, completely transforming any room. This product is pre finished with a UV oil which gives the flooring an ultra strong protection from any damage.

Each plank has a 4v Groove, bevelled edge giving each plank a more natural definition for each individual plank. This floor can be sanded down up to 5 times however it shouldn't be necessary to do so for the first 15-20 years. The grade of this product is rustic, the most popular in the industry, which means the planks have more knots and imperfections giving the floor a more natural approach.

The EW2090 can be installed using one of three techniques. Option one, ‘floating floor’, is achieved by gluing the tongue and groove parts of the board and allow the floor as a whole to float, usually cushioned with use of an underlay. Option two would be to secret nail the tongue part of the plank into a wooden subfloor. Finally, option three would be to stick the timber directly onto the subfloor with use of flooring adhesive. Engineered wood flooring is able to be installed in kitchens, conservatories and even basements. It's applications are very versatile compared to other floor types thanks to its ability to withstand fluctuations in temperatures. This also means it is suitable to used with underfloor heating, something that is increasingly popular in modern homes, especially as engineered wood is an excellent conductor of heat, meaning the EW2090 will be able to retain heat and warm your floors for longer.
