190mm Smoked White Brushed and Oiled Engineered European Oak Wood Flooring – product code EO2748 - has a total thickness of 20mm with a 6mm solid hardtop wear layer. This product comes fixed lengths of 1900mm. This product is lightly brushed and finished with a UV oil which gives the plank more texture and character. Each plank has a 4V Groove, bevelled edge giving each plank individual definition. This floor can be sanded down up to 7 times, however, it shouldn't be necessary to do so for the first 15-20 years, plus with our 25 year guarantee you can rest assured that your floor will look beautiful for years. The way in which engineered floor is made makes it incredibly durable, which makes it ideal for using in kitchens where water exposure to dirt is more common through food spillages and other day to day wear and tear. It is also suitable to be used with underfloor heating, something that is increasingly popular in most modern homes. Engineered wood flooring has the ability to withstand fluctuations in temperatures and can therefore also be used in rooms where a solid wood could not, such as conservatories or even basements. The grade of this product is rustic, which gives the plank a lot of warmth and character and can help your floor look that bit more expensive. The rustic grade is the most popular grade in the wood flooring industry thanks to its ability to offer a huge amount of depth to the material. The EO2748 can be installed using either a floating, nailing or glueing technique. Option one, ‘floating floor’, is achieved by gluing the tongue and groove parts of the board and allow the floor as a whole to float, usually cushioned with use of an underlay. Option two would be to secret nail the tongue part of the plank into a wooden subfloor. Finally, option three would be to stick the timber directly onto the subfloor with use of flooring adhesive. Please see the full, downloadable installation guide in the installation tab above for more information. |
