90mm Prime Unfinished Herringbone Engineered Oak Wood Flooring – product code HE3011 - has a total thickness of 18mm with a 4mm hardtop wear layer. This product comes in fixed lengths of 400mm and is unfinished allowing the end user to finish it to how they desire, over recent years self finishing has become more popular as there are many different oils and lacquers on market, which offer more precision so you can create your ideal look.

This floor can be sanded down up to 6 times however it shouldn't be necessary to do so for the first 15-20 years. Plus, this floor comes with our 25 year guarantee so you can relax in the knowledge that your floor will look beautiful for years. The grade of this product is prime, eliminating any knots of imperfections, so if you are looking for a clean board, this is the product for you. Additionally, the herringbone style is particularly popular right now and has been identifies as a current trend for this year. The stunning look of herringbone can therefore immediately modernise your home and is an excellent choice to add some dimension to your floor.

Engineered wood flooring is made in such a way that it is suitable to be used alongside underfloor heating. Made up of layers of plywood stuck together and finished with a lamella layer, engineered wood flooring, unlike solid wood flooring, is able to withstand fluctuations in temperatures, meaning it can also be used in rooms such as conservatories and basements.

The HE3011 can be installed using one of three techniques. Option one, ‘floating floor’, is achieved by gluing the tongue and groove parts of the board and allow the floor as a whole to float, usually cushioned with use of an underlay. Option two would be to secret nail the tongue part of the plank into a wooden subfloor. Finally, option three would be to stick the timber directly onto the subfloor with use of flooring adhesive. Please see the full, downloadable installation guide in the installation tab above for more information.
