A grey flooring is very popular in modern homes due to its contemporary, sick yet natural look. Laminate also presents many practical qualities too.
This flooring is effortlessly charming due to its calming, stylish tone. It would suit a modern kitchen or living room beautifully, accompanied by a bespoke rug. The realistic knots, grains and colour variation make for a impressive imitation of real wood, that it is almost hard to believe at first glance that it’s not real wood. Adding sophistication to your home, this high-quality flooring boasts a 30-year guarantee.
One of the great benefits of laminate is that it can be installed with under-floor heating, something real wood cannot do. Not only this, but laminate is very durable, lasting for many years and still looking as good as the day you bought it. Don’t have any concerns about placing it in areas that see heavier domestic use - it will stand up to whatever is thrown at it.
Laminate is water, scratch and stain resistant. This means it is the perfect option for your kitchen, bath and utility room. However, due to its easy-going appearance and warmth means it would look stunning in any room.
If you are looking to install this laminate flooring yourself, here’s how:
Glue and Click
This product combines the ease of installation of the Click system and the added security of gluing the grooves of the planks. Each board is designed to fit together seamlessly and lock into place quickly and efficiently. A thin line of PVA glue should be applied to the groove of the plank to ensure optimum stability.
Laminate flooring does not need to be fixed to a subfloor. Instead, the boards are floated by fitting them together using the Glue and Click installation system. An underlay should be fitted underneath the boards to encourage comfort, stability and insulation.
