Combining stunning traditional elegance with unbelievable practicality, this Nest Cortado Luxury Vinyl Tile is an incredible choice for any room. Luxury Vinyl Tiles are not only waterproof (making them the ideal flooring for bathrooms and utility rooms which may experience high levels of humidity and moisture), but they’re also resistant to both scratches and stains, making them a great option for busy family homes.
In a cool mid-grey oak look, this is a modern choice which would look best in minimalist-inspired and modern homes. The slight rustic finish evokes images of nature, meaning it’s perfect for jumping on the natural trend that will only continue to grow. The herringbone design makes it a focal point of any room. Pair with big, leafy plants and cool-toned neutrals for awe-inspiring visuals.
These Luxury Vinyl Tiles are a parquet style with planks measuring 615mm long, 128mm wide and 5.5mm thick with a 1mm underlay meaning you’ll be getting the wood plank look with a softer feel underfoot. Plus, all our LVTs are compatible with underfloor heating.
The Nest Cortado has a click-joining method, meaning fitting will be a breeze. See our detailed installation guides for more information.
If you’re looking to install luxury vinyl tiles by hand, there are a few things to bear in mind:
Glue Down vs Click
Before you purchase your LVT, check which installation system it uses. There are two main types: ‘Glue Down’ and ‘Click’.
• Glue Down is more traditional, ensuring dimensional stability and strength. Each tile is placed in a desired pattern, and set alongside the neighbouring tiles.
• Click installation is quick and hassle free. Each tile fits together seamlessly and securely, locking into place with a single movement.
Many fitters prefer floating their tiles due to quick and easy installation. Floating does not require you to fix your flooring to a subfloor, however, only click tiles can be fitted this way.
A thin underlay is fitted underneath the tile to encourage cushioning underfoot. Floating helps cut down on labour, whilst ensuring that your boards are comfortable and strong underfoot.
Fixing your flooring to the subfloor will ensure a long lifespan and minimal movement. Both Glue Down and Click tiles can be fitted this way, however, it is more popular with the former.
LVT can be installed above most existing hard surfaces, such as concrete, plywood, tiles, and wood boards. Adhesive is applied directly under the tile, setting rigidly into place.
