This product shows off a stunning rustic appearance, something increasingly popular in modern homes. This is done through the interesting variation of colours, grains and knots. Because of this, it is almost impossible to tell it apart from real wood. You get an impressive replica of real wood with vinyl but at a cheaper price and better practicality.

So many of us have fallen for wood’s natural glory but can’t sacrifice vinyl’s tempting benefits. It is incredibly resilient to heavy domestic use and footfall, looking as good as new for many years. Stain, water and scratch proof, vinyl is easy to clean with only needing a sweep and a mop few times a week- making it ideal for kitchens and bathrooms. Not just this, but vinyl is also able to cope with underfloor heating due to it withstanding higher temperatures, something real wood cannot do.

Because this flooring has plenty of its own character, you won’t need to enhance it with a rug or busy wallpaper. However, because it does have such an easy-going neutral appearance, it would equally complement these features if you do have them. We also offer a generous 30-year guarantee!

If you’re looking to install luxury vinyl tiles by hand, there are a few things to bear in mind:

Glue Down vs Click

Before you purchase your LVT, check which installation system it uses. There are two main types: ‘Glue Down’ and ‘Click’.

• Glue Down is more traditional, ensuring dimensional stability and strength. Each tile is placed in a desired pattern, and set alongside the neighbouring tiles.

• Click installation is quick and hassle free. Each tile fits together seamlessly and securely, locking into place with a single movement.

Many fitters prefer floating their tiles due to quick and easy installation. Floating does not require you to fix your flooring to a subfloor, however, only click tiles can be fitted this way.

A thin underlay is fitted underneath the tile to encourage cushioning underfoot. Floating helps cut down on labour, whilst ensuring that your boards are comfortable and strong underfoot.

Fixing your flooring to the subfloor will ensure a long lifespan and minimal movement. Both Glue Down and Click tiles can be fitted this way, however, it is more popular with the former.

LVT can be installed above most existing hard surfaces, such as concrete, plywood, tiles, and wood boards. Adhesive is applied directly under the tile, setting rigidly into place.
