This luxury vinyl shows off a very interesting and realistic premise. The beautiful variation of colours, grains and knots flow charmingly throughout, making it hard to tell it apart from real wood. You get the aesthetic benefits of real wood with this remarkable flooring, but at a cheaper price and better practical benefits.
Vinyl is well known for being extremely hard wearing, looking band new for many years. Because of this, many homeowners opt for it in rooms that see more usage, such as the kitchen and hallway. As well as this, it is also scratch, stain and waterproof, suitable for any room- but especially areas that have more exposure to this.
Vinyl feels cushioned and soft underfoot, as well as a having an easy cleaning routine. Perhaps its best feature is that you can install underfloor heating with vinyl due to the nature of how it is constructed, not something you can do with real wood as it warps under heat.
Create an enchanting, rustic statement with this flooring. The tone would suit any décor theme, picking up different colours in the room. A bespoke fluffy winter rug would complement it perfectly, or even a classic wicker to enhance the naturalistic appeal. We also offer generous 30 year guarantee!
If you’re looking to install luxury vinyl tiles by hand, there are a few things to bear in mind:
Glue Down vs Click
Before you purchase your LVT, check which installation system it uses. There are two main types: ‘Glue Down’ and ‘Click’.
• Glue Down is more traditional, ensuring dimensional stability and strength. Each tile is placed in a desired pattern, and set alongside the neighbouring tiles.
• Click installation is quick and hassle free. Each tile fits together seamlessly and securely, locking into place with a single movement.
Many fitters prefer floating their tiles due to quick and easy installation. Floating does not require you to fix your flooring to a subfloor, however, only click tiles can be fitted this way.
A thin underlay is fitted underneath the tile to encourage cushioning underfoot. Floating helps cut down on labour, whilst ensuring that your boards are comfortable and strong underfoot.
Fixing your flooring to the subfloor will ensure a long lifespan and minimal movement. Both Glue Down and Click tiles can be fitted this way, however, it is more popular with the former.
LVT can be installed above most existing hard surfaces, such as concrete, plywood, tiles, and wood boards. Adhesive is applied directly under the tile, setting rigidly into place.
