The bevelled edge also adds to this fantastic flooring’s authenticity.
This product presents us with a gorgeous, rich tone that will complement many different interior themes. We’d especially recommend this if you’re looking to get that traditional grand look, due to its rich and vibrant colour. It will offer a warm and welcoming statement, perfect for all seasons and adding character to your home.
Vinyl is one of the most durable and practical choices of flooring. It will withstand many years of heavy domestic use and foot traffic all while still looking good as new. This makes it very popular with busy family households with its carefree cleaning routine, only needing a quick sweep and a mop a few times a week. It is also scratch, stain and waterproof, ideal for rooms that see high exposure to this such as the kitchen and bathroom.
One of vinyl’s most useful qualities is its ability to cooperate with the modern invention of under floor heating. We have also included a generous 30-year guarantee!
If you’re looking to install luxury vinyl tiles by hand, there are a few things to bear in mind:
Glue Down vs Click
Before you purchase your LVT, check which installation system it uses. There are two main types: ‘Glue Down’ and ‘Click’.
• Glue Down is more traditional, ensuring dimensional stability and strength. Each tile is placed in a desired pattern, and set alongside the neighbouring tiles.
• Click installation is quick and hassle free. Each tile fits together seamlessly and securely, locking into place with a single movement.
Many fitters prefer floating their tiles due to quick and easy installation. Floating does not require you to fix your flooring to a subfloor, however, only click tiles can be fitted this way.
A thin underlay is fitted underneath the tile to encourage cushioning underfoot. Floating helps cut down on labour, whilst ensuring that your boards are comfortable and strong underfoot.
Fixing your flooring to the subfloor will ensure a long lifespan and minimal movement. Both Glue Down and Click tiles can be fitted this way, however, it is more popular with the former.
LVT can be installed above most existing hard surfaces, such as concrete, plywood, tiles, and wood boards. Adhesive is applied directly under the tile, setting rigidly into place.
