The textured surface and finish of this wood effect Luxury Vinyl Tile gives it the appearance of natural material, meaning most guests won’t be able to tell the difference. The Nest Pewter’s rigid core makes it extra durable along with the textured finish which means any scratches and marks will be well hidden, blending into its rustic charm. This makes it the ideal choice for children’s bedrooms, bathrooms, and busy living spaces. We know that even with Luxury Vinyl Tile’s scratch-proof and water-resistant qualities, sometimes accidents do happen, so all our LVT comes with a 30 year guarantee. The click joining system means that installation is a breeze. See our detailed installation guides for more information. |
If you’re looking to install luxury vinyl tiles by hand, there are a few things to bear in mind:
Glue Down vs Click
Before you purchase your LVT, check which installation system it uses. There are two main types: ‘Glue Down’ and ‘Click’.
• Glue Down is more traditional, ensuring dimensional stability and strength. Each tile is placed in a desired pattern, and set alongside the neighbouring tiles.
• Click installation is quick and hassle free. Each tile fits together seamlessly and securely, locking into place with a single movement.
Floating
Many fitters prefer floating their tiles due to quick and easy installation. Floating does not require you to fix your flooring to a subfloor, however, only click tiles can be fitted this way.
A thin underlay is fitted underneath the tile to encourage cushioning underfoot. Floating helps cut down on labour, whilst ensuring that your boards are comfortable and strong underfoot.
Fixing
Fixing your flooring to the subfloor will ensure a long lifespan and minimal movement. Both Glue Down and Click tiles can be fitted this way, however, it is more popular with the former.
LVT can be installed above most existing hard surfaces, such as concrete, plywood, tiles, and wood boards. Adhesive is applied directly under the tile, setting rigidly into place.
