Create a warm, welcoming statement with this fine vinyl flooring. It presents a convincing imitation of real wood’s desirable natural premise - this is presented through the grains, knots and colour variation throughout. You get the plush look of real wood with vinyl at a cheaper price and better maintenance.
If you install vinyl, you can be safe in the knowledge that it will last for many years still looking as good as the day you bought it. It will withstand heavy domestic use, perfect for busy family homes. Additionally, it is also stain, water and scratch proof, making it fitting for rooms that see more exposure to this.
Vinyl is very easy to maintain and clean, with only needing a quick sweep and mop a couple of times a week. This flooring is full of character thanks to the knots and grains, making for a rustic appeal. This is advantageous for your cleaning routine, as these characteristics can disguise dirt and debris.
Perhaps the best benefit of Rigid Nest Vinyl is that it is SPC, meaning it is a stone composite thus making it super strong. It is engineered in a way that combines limestone and stabilisers to create an extremely durable core. Like any vinyl, it is still 100% waterproof due to the thin layer attached to it, but with added stability and dent resistance.
If you’re looking to give your home an affluent, plush appearance but at a cheaper price than wood flooring, then this product is ideal. Its rich, classical darker colour gives your home a traditional feel, something very popular with homeowners. Not only this, but its versatile tone will go with any furnishings and colour themes.
Vinyl’s benefits don’t stop there. It is also able to cope with fluctuating temperatures, meaning you can install underfloor heating, something you can’t do with solid wood flooring. We also offer a substantial 30-year guarantee!
If you’re looking to install luxury vinyl tiles by hand, there are a few things to bear in mind:
Glue Down vs Click
Before you purchase your LVT, check which installation system it uses. There are two main types: ‘Glue Down’ and ‘Click’.
• Glue Down is more traditional, ensuring dimensional stability and strength. Each tile is placed in a desired pattern, and set alongside the neighbouring tiles.
• Click installation is quick and hassle free. Each tile fits together seamlessly and securely, locking into place with a single movement.
Many fitters prefer floating their tiles due to quick and easy installation. Floating does not require you to fix your flooring to a subfloor, however, only click tiles can be fitted this way.
A thin underlay is fitted underneath the tile to encourage cushioning underfoot. Floating helps cut down on labour, whilst ensuring that your boards are comfortable and strong underfoot.
Fixing your flooring to the subfloor will ensure a long lifespan and minimal movement. Both Glue Down and Click tiles can be fitted this way, however, it is more popular with the former.
LVT can be installed above most existing hard surfaces, such as concrete, plywood, tiles, and wood boards. Adhesive is applied directly under the tile, setting rigidly into place.
