Achieve contemporary sophistication with this stunning vinyl flooring, Each 5mm tile utilises an advanced photorealistic aesthetic layer to imitate the subtle details of stone with unparalleled precision. Embossed textures are etched onto the surface for an additional dimension of depth, and an enhanced bevelled edge has been sculpted for heightened pronunciation. As a result, you can expect striking visual results, and a myriad of tactile sensations underfoot.
Alongside an elegant appearance, this product exhibits a wealth of practical benefits, including stability in heat and direct sunlight, and 100% waterproofing in any interior environment. Each tile features an astonishing 0.5mm wear layer for enduring performance in areas of heavy foot traffic, and a quartz urethane coating for scratch and stain resilience, demonstrating superiority in any room within your home.
Perhaps the best benefit of Rigid Nest Vinyl is that it is SPC, meaning it is a stone composite thus making it super strong. It is engineered in a way that combines limestone and stabilisers to create an extremely durable core. Like any vinyl, it is still 100% waterproof due to the thin layer attached to it, but with added stability and dent resistance.
Below the surface, a unique collaboration of sturdy limestone and hypoallergenic cork provides unfaltering dimensional stability and an A+ air quality rating to match. In addition, each tile is entirely recyclable, free from Ortho-phthalates, and promises low chemical emissions. This product allows you to receive an impressive tiled effect without the hassle associated with traditional installation methods. Nest Rigid Core tiles are designed to fit together seamlessly with an intuitive click fitting system. This reduces the need for subfloor preparation, and additional materials such as nails and adhesives.
If you’re looking to install luxury vinyl tiles by hand, there are a few things to bear in mind:
Glue Down vs Click
Before you purchase your LVT, check which installation system it uses. There are two main types: ‘Glue Down’ and ‘Click’.
• Glue Down is more traditional, ensuring dimensional stability and strength. Each tile is placed in a desired pattern, and set alongside the neighbouring tiles.
• Click installation is quick and hassle free. Each tile fits together seamlessly and securely, locking into place with a single movement.
Many fitters prefer floating their tiles due to quick and easy installation. Floating does not require you to fix your flooring to a subfloor, however, only click tiles can be fitted this way.
A thin underlay is fitted underneath the tile to encourage cushioning underfoot. Floating helps cut down on labour, whilst ensuring that your boards are comfortable and strong underfoot.
Fixing your flooring to the subfloor will ensure a long lifespan and minimal movement. Both Glue Down and Click tiles can be fitted this way, however, it is more popular with the former.
LVT can be installed above most existing hard surfaces, such as concrete, plywood, tiles, and wood boards. Adhesive is applied directly under the tile, setting rigidly into place.
