The stunning grey tone of this product would work delightfully in any room in your home. Vinyl is popular in rooms such as the kitchen and bathroom due to the fact it is scratch, stain and water proof.
This product shoes off an extraordinary replica of the natural beauty of real wood. This is done by the knots grains and gorgeous colour variation - you get the desirable look of real wood but at a cheaper price and better maintenance.
The variation of tones will pick up different shades in your room, meaning it will also go with different interior themes. Therefore, if you do change things up this flooring will complement with whatever you chose.
Perhaps the best benefit of Rigid Nest Vinyl is that it is SPC, meaning it is a stone composite thus making it super strong. It is engineered in a way that combines limestone and stabilisers to create an extremely durable core. Like any vinyl, it is still 100% waterproof due to the thin layer attached to it, but with added stability and dent resistance.
Vinyl is often chosen in rooms that experience high foot traffic, due to its incredible hard-wearing nature. A popular choice for kitchens and bathrooms, but it would look beautiful in a living or bedroom too.
Vinyl is not only durable and easy to maintain, but it also able to cooperate with under floor heating, something real wood cannot. Our 30-year guarantee gives your peace of mind too!
If you’re looking to install luxury vinyl tiles by hand, there are a few things to bear in mind:
Glue Down vs Click
Before you purchase your LVT, check which installation system it uses. There are two main types: ‘Glue Down’ and ‘Click’.
• Glue Down is more traditional, ensuring dimensional stability and strength. Each tile is placed in a desired pattern, and set alongside the neighbouring tiles.
• Click installation is quick and hassle free. Each tile fits together seamlessly and securely, locking into place with a single movement.
Many fitters prefer floating their tiles due to quick and easy installation. Floating does not require you to fix your flooring to a subfloor, however, only click tiles can be fitted this way.
A thin underlay is fitted underneath the tile to encourage cushioning underfoot. Floating helps cut down on labour, whilst ensuring that your boards are comfortable and strong underfoot.
Fixing your flooring to the subfloor will ensure a long lifespan and minimal movement. Both Glue Down and Click tiles can be fitted this way, however, it is more popular with the former.
LVT can be installed above most existing hard surfaces, such as concrete, plywood, tiles, and wood boards. Adhesive is applied directly under the tile, setting rigidly into place.
