This is exactly what cosy feels like.

This month is all about getting snuggled on the sofa, whether it’s with your friends, family or special one. And what better way to accompany that with a lovely hot drink? This month at Luxury Flooring, we’re serving you the ultimate cosy drinks for a perfect night in. So, sit back, relax and read these great recipes you can make at home.


Pumpkin Spiced Latte

Is there a better way to kick off PSL season than with a pumpkin spiced latte? Indulge yourself with our homemade pumpkin spice recipe topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. The perfect drink to wake your taste buds on a cold night.

What you need:

  • 500ml of whole milk*
  • 2-3 tsp pumpkin puree
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 200ml of espresso
  • 1 tsp pumpkin spice mix: (1 pinch each of cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and ginger)
  • Whipped cream (to serve)
  • Star anise (to serve)

Method:

And now for the exciting part…

  1. Add milk, pumpkin puree and maple syrup to a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir until the puree has combined with the milk.
  3. Add espresso and pumpkin spice
  4. Stir until everything is combined.
  5. Pour in your favourite mug.
  6. Add some whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon and star anise on top to finish.

*You can substitute with non-dairy milk if you prefer


Warm Honey and Almond Milk (VE)

Warm your belly with our honey and almond milk drink. The sweet taste of vanilla complements the fragrant but soft taste of cinnamon. Make sure to serve with a cinnamon stick and share your creations with us using #luxdoescosy.

What you need:

  • 500ml of barista almond milk
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Vanilla pod
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Method:

  1. Heat almond milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir until milk is warm but not hot.
  3. Add in honey, cinnamon stick, vanilla pod and nutmeg.
  4. Stir until combined.
  5. Pour and serve in your favourite mug!

Hot Chocolate with Fluffy Marshmallows

Talk about a sweet start to the month! Spoil yourself with chocolate and fluffy marshmallows with this creamy and velvety drink. It warms you up while you relax. Perfect for a cosy night in with the TV on.

What you need:

  • 400ml of whole milk
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp chocolate hazelnut spread
  • Pinch of cinnamon powder
  • Marshmallows
  • Milk chocolate chips
  • Whipped cream

Method:

  1. Add milk and cocoa powder to a saucepan over medium heat until warm.
  2. Add hazelnut spread and mix until fully combined.
  3. Give everything a good stir then add your cinnamon.
  4. Pour, serve and add your cream.
  5. Add as many marshmallows and choc chips as you like!

Creamy Caramel Mocha

Wake your senses with our creamy caramel mocha. We can’t think of anything better than caramel and chocolate together, so why not put them both in a drink? Serve with whipped cream and a sprinkle of chocolate.

What you need:

  • 2 tbsp sweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp caramel syrup
  • 200ml of coffee
  • 350ml of milk
  • 200ml of water
  • Whipped cream (to serve)

Method:

  1. In a saucepan over a medium heat, stir together milk, water and cocoa powder until combined.
  2. Add coffee and caramel syrup.
  3. Give everything a good stir and serve.
  4. Add whipped cream on top if you like!

If you like your mochas sweet, feel free to add an extra teaspoon of sugar


Creamy Irish Latte

Now, who says Irish lattes are just for Christmas? After the kids have gone to bed, spike your latte with some alcohol. Don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone.

Inspired by our delicious Elgin Latte Oak.

What you need:

  • 500ml of whole milk
  • 25ml of Irish syrup or 50ml of Irish cream for a naughty version
  • 50ml of espresso
  • Whipped cream (to serve)
  • Cocoa powder (to serve)

Method:

  1. Heat milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the espresso and your choice of Irish syrup or cream.
  3. Give it a good stir so all the flavours combine.
  4. Pour and serve, with some squirty cream on top if you desire!

*All these drinks can be swapped for non-dairy alternatives.
