The Painswick Champagne Oak has a total thickness of 14mm with a 3mm hardtop wear layer. This product comes in fixed lengths of 600mm and is elegantly prefinished with seven coats of natural UV lacquer giving it ultimate protection, durability and making it easy to maintain.
Each plank has a 4V Groove, bevelled edge giving each plank more definition individually. This floor can be sanded down up to 4 times however it shouldn't be necessary to do so for the first 15-20 years. The grade of this product is rustic meaning the planks have more knots and imperfections giving the product much more character and warmth. Additionally, the herringbone floor is on trend this year and will help to immediately modernise your home and keep it in style.
Engineered flooring doesn't just look amazing, it is also extremely practical too. Thanks to the way it is constructed, engineered flooring is great to use in kitchens and rooms with higher traffic. However, as this is a natural product, we would always advise you to mop up any spillages or splashes as quickly as possible. Engineered flooring is also able to withstand fluctuations in temperatures which means its compatible with underfloor heating, something that is increasingly popular in modern homes. This ability to endure temperature changes also means that this product can be laid in rooms such as conservatories or basements, where other flooring might warp.
The Champagne Oak can be installed by using a floating technique. The boards will simply click together at the joint and sit flush without the need for glue or adhesive. Please see the full, downloadable installation guide in the installation tab below for more information.
