Polyflor Expona Commercial Stone Warm Grey Concrete Vinyl Flooring – product code VIN1039 – has a total thickness of 2.5mm with a 0.55mm wear layer. This small wear layer will hugely help to preserve this product from everyday wear in a property, something that is most definitely going to benefit the longevity of this product. VIN1039 has fixed plank lengths of 610mm, a width of 204mm and is sold in pack sizes of 3.34m2. If you're unsure of exactly how many packs you will need, our team would be more than happy to take your call and best advise you as to your personal project.
The VIN1039 is installed using a glueing method on the planks. Glueing is possible the easiest and quickest way to lay a floor as it doesn't require a high skill level. This means that if you're a fan of DIY projects you should be able to install this floor yourself. If you're unsure however, we would always recommend consulting an expert to install the floor for you. If you'd like to read more about glueing this product, please click on the installation tab above to download our helpful guide. This product has square edged planks. In comparison to a bevelled edge for example, which is slightly curved on the sides, a square edge product is straight cut which means the planks fit together tightly when laid next to each other. The end aesthetic is a clean cut floor with great fluidity which can help a floor to look very modern and stylish. Because of the elimination of any grooves on the products surface, this floor is very comfortable underfoot especially when paired with the vinyl material.
The stunning warm grey concrete effect of this product will help any home feel more stylish, but it doesn't just look great, it's also extremely practical. As a Polyflor product, VIN1039 is totally waterproof which makes it suitable to be installed in rooms such as kitchens and even bathrooms without the worry of the product damaging from liquid and moisture exposure. The great look of this product also means you get that stone aesthetic without the cold feeling underfoot and the higher maintenance commitments of a real stone product.

Glue Down vs Click
Before you purchase your LVT, check which installation system it uses. There are two main types: ‘Glue Down’ and ‘Click’.
• Glue Down is more traditional, ensuring dimensional stability and strength. Each tile is placed in a desired pattern, and set alongside the neighbouring tiles.
• Click installation is quick and hassle free. Each tile fits together seamlessly and securely, locking into place with a single movement.
Many fitters prefer floating their tiles due to quick and easy installation. Floating does not require you to fix your flooring to a subfloor, however, only click tiles can be fitted this way.
A thin underlay is fitted underneath the tile to encourage cushioning underfoot. Floating helps cut down on labour, whilst ensuring that your boards are comfortable and strong underfoot.
Fixing your flooring to the subfloor will ensure a long lifespan and minimal movement. Both Glue Down and Click tiles can be fitted this way, however, it is more popular with the former.
LVT can be installed above most existing hard surfaces, such as concrete, plywood, tiles, and wood boards. Adhesive is applied directly under the tile, setting rigidly into place.
