Polyflor Expona Commercial Wood Beige Varnished Flooring – product code VIN1065 – has planks 2.5mm in thickness with a wear layer of 0.55mm. This wear layer will help to maintain the great look of your floor for longer. The planks of the VIN1065 have a width of 152mm and is sold in pack sizes of 3.34m2. This product has square edges, this means that the edges of the plank aren't shaped or curved, rather they are cut straight which gives a tight finish for a fluid and clean cut look. To install this product, the planks need to be glued down. The stunning beige, rustic look of this floor gives a vintage and natural aesthetic. The benefit of this product being a vinyl is that you can get this incredible wood effect floor in more rooms such as kitchens or bathrooms, where liquid and moisture exposure is very common.

Glue Down vs Click
Before you purchase your LVT, check which installation system it uses. There are two main types: ‘Glue Down’ and ‘Click’.
• Glue Down is more traditional, ensuring dimensional stability and strength. Each tile is placed in a desired pattern, and set alongside the neighbouring tiles.
• Click installation is quick and hassle free. Each tile fits together seamlessly and securely, locking into place with a single movement.
Many fitters prefer floating their tiles due to quick and easy installation. Floating does not require you to fix your flooring to a subfloor, however, only click tiles can be fitted this way.
A thin underlay is fitted underneath the tile to encourage cushioning underfoot. Floating helps cut down on labour, whilst ensuring that your boards are comfortable and strong underfoot.
Fixing your flooring to the subfloor will ensure a long lifespan and minimal movement. Both Glue Down and Click tiles can be fitted this way, however, it is more popular with the former.
LVT can be installed above most existing hard surfaces, such as concrete, plywood, tiles, and wood boards. Adhesive is applied directly under the tile, setting rigidly into place.
