VIN1011 has a thickness of 2.5mm and a wear layer of 0.55mm, which will help your floor to retain its great look for years by protecting the floor against the wear and tear of everyday life. VIN1011 has a beautiful wood effect finish and this product is also recycled, meaning you can get the gorgeous look of a wood floor while remaining sustainable. The wood effect of this vinyl is particularly effective considering that vinyl products are waterproof. This means that the VIN1011 can offer that great wood look with rooms such as kitchens and bathrooms without the worry of damaging the product from moisture and liquid exposure.
This product should be installed by glueing down the planks which is a quick and easy method of laying the product. Glueing requires a fairly low skill level meaning if you're a fan of DIY you should be able to lay this floor yourself. VIN1011 has square edges, meaning that the planks aren't shaped or curved on the sides so the planks fit tightly together when installed. Glue Down vs Click
Before you purchase your LVT, check which installation system it uses. There are two main types: ‘Glue Down’ and ‘Click’.
• Glue Down is more traditional, ensuring dimensional stability and strength. Each tile is placed in a desired pattern, and set alongside the neighbouring tiles.
• Click installation is quick and hassle free. Each tile fits together seamlessly and securely, locking into place with a single movement.
Many fitters prefer floating their tiles due to quick and easy installation. Floating does not require you to fix your flooring to a subfloor, however, only click tiles can be fitted this way.
A thin underlay is fitted underneath the tile to encourage cushioning underfoot. Floating helps cut down on labour, whilst ensuring that your boards are comfortable and strong underfoot.
Fixing your flooring to the subfloor will ensure a long lifespan and minimal movement. Both Glue Down and Click tiles can be fitted this way, however, it is more popular with the former.
LVT can be installed above most existing hard surfaces, such as concrete, plywood, tiles, and wood boards. Adhesive is applied directly under the tile, setting rigidly into place.
