This Polyflor Expona Control Stone Portland Stone Vinyl Flooring – product code VIN974 – comes in fixed lengths of 610mm with a width of 305mm. The wear layer on this product is 0.70mm, giving you that extra bit of protection against scratches and damages that can happen from simple everyday wear and tear. The tile plank aesthetic of this product gives you that great tile look but with all of the benefits of a vinyl, which needs much less regular maintenance. The beige colour can bring in a lot of light and warmth in to a room and can therefore be nicely incorporated in to pre-existing themes or colours in your property. VIN974 is installed by glueing the planks down, which is quick and simple compared to other installation methods. This product comes with square edges which gives a stunning finishing look. Square edges refers the edges of the planks being straight and not shaped or curved as some product are. A square edge means that the planks fit tightly together when laid next to each other creating a fluid and smooth finish.

Glue Down vs Click
Before you purchase your LVT, check which installation system it uses. There are two main types: ‘Glue Down’ and ‘Click’.
• Glue Down is more traditional, ensuring dimensional stability and strength. Each tile is placed in a desired pattern, and set alongside the neighbouring tiles.
• Click installation is quick and hassle free. Each tile fits together seamlessly and securely, locking into place with a single movement.
Many fitters prefer floating their tiles due to quick and easy installation. Floating does not require you to fix your flooring to a subfloor, however, only click tiles can be fitted this way.
A thin underlay is fitted underneath the tile to encourage cushioning underfoot. Floating helps cut down on labour, whilst ensuring that your boards are comfortable and strong underfoot.
Fixing your flooring to the subfloor will ensure a long lifespan and minimal movement. Both Glue Down and Click tiles can be fitted this way, however, it is more popular with the former.
LVT can be installed above most existing hard surfaces, such as concrete, plywood, tiles, and wood boards. Adhesive is applied directly under the tile, setting rigidly into place.
