What is wastage?
When working out how much flooring to buy, it's important to add on a bit extra. This is because each room is unique in its size and shape and often you'll have to cut several boards to accommodate this. This extra allowance is known as 'wastage'.

Grades Explained
Rustic planks contain knots, imperfections and colour variation found in natural wood. Any open knots and imperfections will be filled in, giving your floor an aged wood effect.
Prime wood contains minimal colour variation and knots, making it the ultimate choice for a clean, uniform finish.

Thanks to the way engineered flooring is constructed the material is incredibly hard wearing. This means that it is perfect for using in kitchens, where exposure to dirt is quite common. It is also compatible with underfloor heating as it is able to withstand fluctuations in temperatures which also means, unlike a solid wood floor, it can be used in rooms such as conservatories and or basements.
