Slate Vinyl Plank Flooring

Slate is brilliant at creating an artistic abstract effect when different sized slates are places adjacently. However, real slate is rough underfoot, requires high maintenance, and can be cold and hard. Vinyl can reduce cost and effort of installation whilst retaining the authentic edition's natural beauty.

Although slate’s rough properties make it slip-resistant, it is uncomfortable to walk on barefoot after a shower for example. This is where vinyl wins - it is not entirely slip resistant, but mores than tiles, and smooth enough to be comfortable underfoot - making it the perfect middle ground.

Dangers of mould, mildew and other dirt buildup within grout lines is eradicated with vinyl as it does not use grouting. As stated however, the appearance of it is still present, so there is nothing to lose by choosing vinyl.
