Our Luxury Vinyl Tiles can be installed in two different ways, so it depends on the type of vinyl tile you have (SPC Vinyl or Glue-down Vinyl).
- 1. Floating Floor
- 2. Gluing
In a floating floor, the tiles are joined to each other, instead of to the subfloor. All of our SPC luxury vinyl tiles use this method due to their handy click-fit system. For this method, we'd advise you to have underlay installed and prepped. Many of our luxury vinyl tiles have underlay already included so you can skip this step if that's the case.
With this method, adhesive is applied to the top of the subfloor with a trowel and then the individual planks are laid on top. You only need to use this method for luxury vinyl tiles that aren't part of our SPC click-fit range. When gluing, it's especially important that the subfloor is nice and smooth as the glued-down tiles will follow the contours of what's underneath.
