If you’ve been following our blog then you’ll know that we’re suckers for a good laminate floor. Recently, however, something new has taken our fancy and it goes by the name of Quick-Step.

Quick-Step laminate flooring, just like regular laminate floors, is made up of four layers. The first layer is called a balancing board, this layer is placed at the bottom and ensures the board itself will not cup or bow when installed. The next layer is known as the core, this is what gives the floor its durability and moisture resistance. Next up is the design layer, this layer enables the floor to perfectly imitate real materials such as wood or stone. It is then finished with resin and topped with the final layer of a transparent, water-resistant overlay. This provides protection against the likes of stains, any impact, scratches and household layers

As any other laminate flooring, the Quick-Step range is highly durable and can last up to 25 years. For this reason it is highly recommended for rooms that experience high traffic. It is also therefore the perfect choice for busy family homes since it is very scratch resistant as well as waterproof. Stains are also a thing of the past. Should the odd (or frequent) spill occur, simply absorb or clean as soon as it happens to avoid any long-term damage. Not only is durability and longevity one of the main features of Quick-Step, but its low maintenance is also another of its assets.  These floors only need to odd warm soapy mop and regular sweep to maintain their great quality

As mentioned previously, Quick-Step replicates the look of wood and stone beautifully. It is available in a wide range of woods such as oak, walnut, chestnut or pine to name a few.

And as for the stone, Quick-Step does a perfect ceramic-tile effect. These floors are also available in different colours or shades giving you plenty of choices depending on the effect you want to achieve. So, as you can see with Quick-step laminate flooring not only do you have the practicality, but also the aesthetics without the high price tag.

But what makes Quick-Step truly extraordinary and different from other laminate floors is its “Uniclic’ system. Thanks to this, it is much easier and faster to install allowing planks to simply click together. This system makes the floor solid and strong. Therefore, in the rare case a plank gets damaged, the system makes it easy to fix by only needing to replace the damaged one. Quick-Step is ideal if you’re looking to cut back the cost of a joiner since you can install this floor yourself. However, if you’re a bit of an inexperienced DIY-er, we would always recommend consulting a specialist.

We can’t choose for you, but we think this is an amazing floor that brings you stunning quality without leaving you counting the pennies at the end. If this floor has tempted you, or you want to know what styles this floor is available in, take a look at our gorgeous range of laminate flooring
