Multi Ply Engineered Wood Flooring

Multi Ply is an engineered flooring construction that uses 4-12 fused plywood layers to support the top wood veneer layer. Most of these floors are created though a process of cross layering, glueing and tight pressing, which in turn makes them the strongest engineered flooring option available. It is even stronger than solid wood too, especially in thicker options with thick wear layers, meaning if a durable floor is what you are after, you have come to the right place.

The Benefits

One of the main problems with traditional wood flooring is that it is susceptible to warping and shrinkages when met with high levels of moisture and humidity. Thankfully, this is not the case with engineered wood. During the manufacturing process, the multi-ply core is cross layered, glued, and then tightly compressed, making it the strongest engineered flooring option available. As a result, the multi-ply boards are incredibly versatile, and can be installed in kitchens, in direct sunlight, and in areas with underfloor heating. Alongside this, the surface veneer of solid wood proves exceptionally resistant to wear and tear, making engineered flooring perfect for areas of high footfall, such as hallways. Though your multi-ply flooring will go years without harm, any damages that surface can be easily sanded away, just like traditional hardwood. In turn, this increases the longevity of your engineered wood flooring, so you know it will stand the test of time.

The Choice

Our stunning multi-ply engineered flooring is available in a choice of species. For those who adore the traditional aesthetic of solid oak, we have an amazing selection of multi-ply flooring that will suit your every need. Alternatively, the intricate, high contrast grain of our solid acacia is an equally fantastic choice. We are confident that you’ll be astounded by the quality of our collection!

Both species of our multi-ply engineered wood flooring are also available in various styles, thicknesses, and finishes, so you really are spoilt for choice. In addition, you can maintain your new flooring with our bespoke range of accessories. Don’t hesitate to place your order today!
